When I pick up most magazine, I flick through them, in an attempt to find some fashion inspiration. Majority of the pages are filled with celebrities and how to ‘steal her style’. Not that there is a problem with looking to celebrities for fashion and style advise. Yet, it got me thinking about where I draw most of my ideas from. Obviously I refer to magazine’s a lot, Vogue and Frankie being my two favorites. I like them both because they are so different. Vogue is the pinnacle of fashion magazines, it’s glossy, it’s glamorous and full of luxury. Juxtaposing Vogue is Frankie, cool, modern, alternative and arty. I love the delight of opening up the mail box very month to new editions.
Despite the joy I get from magazine, I think the main source of fashion inspiration I get is from other people. Some times I think my wondering eye for what other people wear may be a little rude, imposing or judgmental. Despite this, other people can be the most inspiring of all and I have always looked to my super stylish and creative friends. I have also quickly fell in love with street style website and fashion bloggers. My favorite site at the moment is wearable.com.
So here are some of my favorite looks from wearable.
Peace!
