The other week the fabulous Miss Moerth (soon to be known as K.O Knockers) and I attended a VRDL bout. K.O Knockers has wanted to join the VRDL league for a while now and being the good friend that I am, I promised I would go along to check what all the fuss was about.
I took a little while to get my head around the concept and rules of roller derby. Luckily there was two bouts on the cards, so I got a lot more into the spirit of the game second time around. My favourite element of the night was the players names. 'Six Foot Hussey', 'Speedie Wasabie' and 'The Loan Ranga' were a few of my favourites.
